We have converted most of our equipment to electric motors, with plans of converting the remaining in the near future. Electric motors are more efficient and use less energy with no emissions. Diesel motors are used for the equipment that requires this type motor.

 

The truth about logging is that it is necessary to maintain healthy forests and timber. If a tree stands until it dies or gets destroyed in a storm, much more damage is done. A fallen, dead tree emits massive levels of carbon dioxide (which is not a pollutant but it is what we exhale everyday), not to mention all the saplings or prospective trees it kills when it falls. When the land is logged, we choose where that tree falls to protect as many saplings as possible. Also, when a tree has completed growing or is dying, it is preventing multiple saplings from ever having enough room to grow. Finally, a dead tree does not add any value to the economy.

 

Kiln dried lumber is great for building custom cabinets or doing small hobby projects.  With a small kiln nearing completion you can purchase this high quality lumber from our yard.  Currently we are air drying some lumber so that when the kiln is fully operational we can instantaniously begin the kiln drying process which takes place in thirty days.  Contact us with orders and when everything is up and running your lumber will be the first to go through the process.

When it comes to framing, we'll do the job right.  With poplar, oak, and even gum to choose from; we can help you with any building project.  We cut our framing to order, with competative prices that rival any competition.  When it comes to the demensions of a 2x6, if you want a full 2" by a full 6" thats what you'll get!  However if the store quality 1 1/2" by 5 1/2" will do for your needs, that is what you'll get; at a reduced board foot price at that.

 

 

We will listen to your needs and help you get the product you need, from log home packages to simple boxing. We can cut what you need with lengths from as small as 4 foot to as large as 28 foot and with thickness as small as 1/8" to any size. 

 

 

We cut quality crossties and cants that are right on the money everytime. Since this is our main production, it's an art that's mastered. Essentially, no defects, only straight quality ties.

 

 

When it comes to making money from the timber on your land, it's the one area where many easily get scammed. We will visit your land, determine if there is timber that needs to be cut or what timber you want to be cut, and get you the best possible price.
